Hey all! Here's a place where you can share your ideas for the jam and get feedback from others!

My plan for this jam is to double up on Wretched Jam and make a game called The Man in the High Tower inspired by Alita Battle Angel where you play someone who must attempt to dethrone an incredibly powerful figure who rules on high so high, in fact, that most people barely even acknowledge his existence far above them on the platform in the clouds. I'm not sure how closely I'll draw on Alita but I think there's a lot of potential there!

This is such a cool idea! I've submitted some older games (this is a theme that resonates strongly with me haha) but I think I'll definitely work on a new game for this too. I haven't made a game where players get to be actual gods yet, so I really wanna try that out 💗

Thinking to test some in mind mechanics for this. It's gonna be cool and funny.

Thanks for beginning it!

Already an idea. Sentient spaceships flying into the center of Universe to destroy God and Their Angels while taking care of the crew.

So, my first thought was "Brawler where you kill gods." My second thought was "That's metal as fuck." My third was "Make it a heavy metal rhythm game", and now I'm trying to find a music guy XD

Awesome!

God goes crazy and unleashes his wrath on the whole world, you have to pick strategic locations for your spawnbuildings to overcome his  crazy amount of damage.
Something like this

this looks like a cool idea! this jam is specifically for physical games, though, such as ttrpgs.

Hi! I have already submitted a game for this jam, one I made for another jam with the same name, but I had another idea I wanted to experiment with:

So, invader races have butchered the God/Goddess, Verra, and scattered the pieces in a magic labyrinth, to prevent them from gathering. The pieces came back to life as monsters and demons, and live in a ridiculous, hell-like society resembling the paintings of El Bosco.

Monsters come in various shapes, sizes, colors and powers, and they'll often eat other ones to grow in power and gain new mutations. There's a myth, that if enough monsters eat each other, Verra would come back to life again.

I envision the game as an OSRish experiment where I'd tackle the race issue by removing humans and making everyone queer monsters. There'd be tables to decide your form, color, appendages, and other features, and they might change as you eat other monsters. I'm thinking of a dark cartoonish aesthetic akin to that show by nickelodeon, Real Monsters:

The idea from the game comes from a setting I've created for a Burning wheel campaign, so it'd be awesome to be able to turn it into a game.

My biggest challenge is to narrow the concept down to something I can finish in time, instead of being too ambitious and dropping it later.

Currently thinking about a Trophy Dark incursion themed around Blasphemy, maybe set in church ruins or something. Touchstones in my mind include “The Nun”, Mörk Borg, and Castlevania Season 3.
