Interesting game idea! I liked the art and the soundtrack. As a saxophonist myself, I found the word "saxist" to be a little offputting, but I forgive you haha. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for your thoughts! We felt like the word worked well with the personality we were going for him (Trying to be the "cool" one out of the group), so we ended up using it after we found out some people use it as another term for saxophonist.
Nicely done! I like the animal crossing vibe and the music is great!
The camera was a little hard to work with and clipped into trees/buildings but that's nothing a SpringArm3D and some mouse rotation can't fix.
Thank you for enjoying the game!
Spring arm was something I was hoping to get in for the build. Unfortunately when I realized that, it was too late ;)
Great game! I got physically stuck between the drum silhouette and the drum player, and a camera rotation can be good addition. Loved the ending, very cozy! Loved the pixels!
Thank you for playing! Great to hear you had a good experience! I'll have to look into that and figure out a way to prevent the player from getting stuck. As for the camera, we wanted to have a certain perspective (we'll probably have workarounds in place instead)
Great start on incorporating an puzzle mechanism and integrating a jazz band instrument! However, improving controls to enhance player interaction and considering the addition of a camera rotation feature would further enhance the overall gameplay experience. Overall it's a nice game!
Thank you for your thoughts! As much as a rotating camera would be nice, we did wanna keep a certain perspective of the camera (for this build at least)
Nice game! I love the pixelization, it adds to the character. Looking for instruments is fun, but I had trouble turning in the sax:( Also, the nighttime is kinda spooky with this fog and almost black terrain, atmospheric. Good job!
Thank you very much for playing our game! I won't lie to you, the sax collision box I should've made bigger. However, great to hear you enjoyed the atmosphere the game offered!
