I'm pretty impressed with what you have for a game jam! I really like the sprite work and tilesets!

Great job! Art, sound and farming are all nicely done! The only thing that is weird to me is i think, my Vsync. You see, when i run the game on my 144hz monitor the day ends in mere seconds, so I could only plant like 8 crops at a time? Time in Unity works best when you use Time.deltaTime, so be sure to check it out! I managed to earn a thousand moneys with dying all the time when watering the last of my crops due to high fps. It's a little bit sad, but doesn't make the game bad, so good job! Just be careful with timers later on :P

upd: i changed refreshrate to 60 and it did nothing, it's all high fps fault then..

Quite an impressive job, considering it was done in only two weeks! It ain't easy to do tilesets, sprites, animations and all that next to programming, so you should be proud! I've got three points of feedback, and I also agree with the other comments' feedback:

-The y-sorting pivot of the trees seems to be on the high side. In other words, you can go up quite far before the tree is rendered in front of the player.

-It's always nice to try to make the UI of a pixel art game pixel art too. You'd be surprised how much that can do for your game in terms of polish!

-Maybe it would be nice to add a sword to the shop, make that cheaper than the bow but make the bow even more expensive.

Good job overall!

Thank you so much, I appreciate the kind words and feedback and it makes me feel so good that you recognized my hard work! I also wanna start this by saying that I really enjoyed your game and that I aspire to reach your level one day and I feel honored that you said I should be proud.

I definitely agree with you that the y-sorting of the trees was quite funky, but I couldn't find out why at the time so I appreciate you teaching me :D.

What you said about the UI makes perfect sense, I will try to learn how to make custom UI going forward, especially if it makes my game feel more polished like yours :).

About the sword... I actually made the pixel art for the sword together with the other items, but unfortunately didn't have the time to make its animation; this was a shame because I completely agree that having the sword in place of the bow, and the bow cost even more would give people more of a challenge to work towards!

Thank you so much for playing my game and giving me fantastic suggestions, yet another one of my days made :)

Edit: I would also like to say that I really really want to implement these suggestions and under normal circumstances, I would... but I am back in the military for the next few weeks so I have no access to my pc with the unity files on it :( sorry if that is a let down

I was more scared with the sudden red screen and You Passed Out giant words than the little monster hahah! Should've paid the time more attention! XD

For the game itself:
I wish there is more time in a day. I ended up limiting my farm to about 20 patches because I want to spend time walking around as well instead of just taking care of the farm. I think the bow and arrow is quite fun! It felt satisfying to shoot at the monsters! But since that's the most expensive item in store, I did not feel like there is much to strive for after getting it. I ended it after the 10th day.

It's overall pretty good! I've read a few mention this as well, but I wish the controls and information about the tools, crops, etc, are in the game itself. I was a little confused on what to do at the start, before I read the gamepage more haha

It was a fun experience anyway! I hope you can do more in the future! :D —Jay

Thank you so much for your feedback, everything you said is really valid. I should probably have given a warning before 2 a.m. hits LOL. I will work my hardest to continue improving and I will definitely partake in more gamejams when I have time from the military :). I appreciate all of the feedback and kind words and will definitely be implementing them in the future!

The art, sounds, and overall vibe is really good! I would have liked it if the controls were told to you in the game.

I don't know how exporting in Unity works, but I think having to set up an exe is a little overcomplicated. A lot less people will play your game if the process to play it is too long or too hard. A zip file or web version would be best if possible.

Great job! :D

Thanks so much for playing, I will definitely work on learning how to implement a tutorial system. I appreciate you spending your time playing my game and shall take your advice into account -- next time I shall try to implement it as a zip file or web version. :) made my day

I felt kinda confused playing this tbh. I had to exit the game a few times to check the Itch page because it doesn't tell you any of the controls in-game, and then I passed out even though my "Energy" bar was full, which felt like a glitch. I think the game needs more guidance in terms of learning how to play and understanding what you're supposed to be doing. A tutorial (or maybe some button prompts?) would go a long way. Still, I liked the art and the music! I hope that wasn't too critical. The aesthetic is really nice :-)

Never worry about being critical especially when it is constructive criticism :). This is my first game jam I am just so excited and appreciative that you took the time out of your day to play my game and also give me feedback. Making a tutorial is definitely something that I will work on adding to my roster of skills as I improve on this journey. Thanks for playing :)

I must say, although the art is mine, the music and SFX are not hehe. The credits are on the title screen -- some truly talented people.

In reference to the energy bar being full and you still passing out. A tutorial definitely would have been useful here, since I can't assume that people will know that passing out occurs at 2 a.m LOL. Sorry for the confusion.
