  • The art is outstanding and so cute, from the backgrounds to the characters. I think that once you successfully complete an order on the stick it shouldn't take so long to end, and it also seemed that any order got you to the end. Also the toppings at the end were a nice touch but seemed to get automatically placed on the dango without player input. The addition of music as well would have tied it all together nicely but great job!! --- This game was incredibly cute! I'm amazed that literally every element was hand-drawn. I thought some explanation of the gameplay would help ("Move your mouse to stack the dango!"), once I started playing I got it pretty quickly but I still think that could have eased the player experience. It also didn't seem like the Sakura Score changed based on whether my stuff was right or wrong, I think more of an incentive/reward to win (ex. combo counter, things that unlock based on how many dangos you've made correctly) would have been fun! Lastly, it looked like the toppings at the end are meant to be clickable/customizable, but I don't think they are. Not sure if you're aware of that already/it just wasn't implemented in time, but thought I'd make a note! Overall, really cute work, I like it a lot! --- 25/40

I looovee the artstyle for this game, it's so cute! The characters were charming and I liked the petals falling.

The gameplay was nice and simple, although I didn't understand all of it. I couldn't tell whether I was being rewarded for getting the sequence correct. Also, I wasn't able to do anything during the topping phase, so a bit more explanation there would help.

But nice job, all of you!

Love the art! Really beautiful. One thing about the gameplay is I'd place the stick a bit lower, I found myself catching something I didn't want just because it appeared right above me and I didn't have enough time to move. With a couple more levels and may some menu customization I could see it being a fun game like COOK, SERVE, DELICIOUS! Great work! Keep it up!

Haha! That's part of the challenge of the game ;) But I do agree, will take shifting down the stick into consideration! Ahh greatly appreciate your feedback and nice comments <3 thank you!

Lovely lovely art!

Would love some explanation on the gameplay, but the type of food and all the toppings are so cuuute!! Love this style and hopefully you guys might have time to polish the UI and the gameplay loop post jam!!!

Hey hey! Just had a few runs through, it's a nice and simple concept that plays smoothly on a HTML5 web interface; the artwork is very smooth, appealing and consistent and has a delightful charm to it! The gameplay is fairly simple, but for a game put together in a week, it's good to have a solid loop working, so it's solid!

Music and sound can be tough to get right (I'm personally rubbish at it!), but having a few sound effects at least can give the world and game a bit of life; if you ever get a chance to add to it, some sound effects would greatly improve the experience!

This is a really nice submission and the artwork is solid, so well done! :D

Omg, thank you so so much!  We had a lot of issues with the build and were pretty worried but worked really hard, so I'm glad you found it smooth and enjoyable.  We love to have sound-- didn't have time this time, but in the future we'll definitely try to have it.  Thanks so much for playing!
