  • The visuals are wonderful and the writing is quite endearing! The dash felt good to use but the movement was a little slippy. For the combat itself, I think enemies take too many hits to kill and fighting them in small spaces was nearly impossible since they would crowd the edge of the platforms. That being said I was eager to go through the levels and hear more about the story! --- The dialogue of this game was very cute, loved the interaction between the fairy character and player character. The overall presentation is beautiful! Combat did feel very difficult; the player attacks felt a bit ineffective against the enemy characters, and the enemies spawned pretty overwhelmingly in certain locations. But I would love to see this fleshed out! --- 30/40

The art style and the environment of the game is nice, and the premise of the game is interesting. However, I was not really able to enjoy the game due to a lot of issues with the gameplay. The platforming and combat felt unresponsive, I never really felt like I was interacting with the world, more like glitching through it. The combat encounters were unbalanced. I am unsure if it is a glitch or not, but having eight enemies ambushing me constantly did not feel very fun. Overall, I think you guys have the basis for a really great game, and with more time and polish it could be amazing.

I love the style of the game. Its very pretty and I think the world is pretty interesting. I liked platforming through the world. I also really like the character design.

 Some comments for improvement would be, shorter/optional dialogues. It feels like dialogue takes control away from the player for to long. Maybe some dialogue could play while the player still have control and some could be optional. Another thing is that the combat needs something to make it a little more interesting. Something that makes the player feel like they are pulling off something mechanicly skillful. A good inspiration for something like that might be hollow knight.

I was very attracted to this game by the cover art you made for it! The art style is really lovely, and I think you have some beautiful work here.  I love that you were able to incorporate an interesting story! On the flip side, I felt the conversations were a little on the long side, so I recommend editing them down a bit more.

General feedback about the executable: I would save your package (Windows No Editor) underneath a folder that has the name of your game! I downloaded another Unreal game that had the same issue. 


Really enjoyed the level and character art! They look super good and mesh very well with the world! I also enjoyed reading about how Marvina enters this world and the fact that she uses a racket to defend herself. I did notice that the capsule colliders on enemies show up in game. Was this part of debugging? Also, there were a ton of enemies spawning in one location so the game was pretty difficult on my end (ended up getting ganged up by three of them and dying). So I would make the game somewhat easier. Picking up items also does not destroy them in the scene so I got confused on whether I picked up the powerups or not.


Also left mouse click does not attack, right mouse click does. Just wanted to mention that lol. Overall, the style, narrative, and the environment look really good! You did a great job on that end! Gameplay is mostly solid, just a few fixes and your game would be even more awesome!

Love the overall design of the game! It feels well put together. I also like the story with how the character is transmigrated but is left with a tennis racket to fend for themselves. The music really adds to the ambience of the level which is super pretty in and of itself. I do wish the enemy's attack sfx was less harsh or a bit quieter in comparison to the player's attacks. It felt very jarring to the game world and overall sound design. 

Overall very impressive and polished game and was enjoyable to play!
