How does the game fit into the theme?
Mental Runner it’s a game about resilience and pushing through inner struggles. Players must literally and metaphorically keep moving forward, battling obstacles, enemies, and their own weaknesses (alcohol addiction, apathy, and past trauma). The dynamic mechanics—running, dodging, and grappling—emphasize constant progress, while the rotating levels and intense breakcore soundtrack create a sense of urgency. The game’s core message is clear: no matter how chaotic or challenging life gets, you must keep moving forward.
