- Okay this was a really unique concept and I kinda love it. A lot. It takes a little while to get started, but once you've made a couple of shifts and passed the statue of liberty, the visuals do a FANTASTIC job of selling your speed. Once you get up to speed, it's becomes almost a game of management, it's frenetic and fast paced in a great way. To take this concept off to space (heh) I'd wan t it to get up to speed quite a lot faster, and I'd want a points system! I could easily see myself competing for a leaderboard on this, or playing co-op/competitively with someone.
- It felt like I was actually driving! Noice!
- I really like the art style and feel of the game. Unfortunately I was using a QWERTY keyboard and hitting semicolon and O made playing the game pretty uncomfortable. However I still found the game pretty fun.
- Saw some feedback about driving with the mouse being hard, but let me say, this is a very satisfying experience on a laptop where you can "drive" with your thumb and then use the keys. Really funny player interaction, seeing the eiffel made me huff a little air. A simple game but I enjoyed the experience a lot, very peaceful and you could turn this into a full game if you added more to it due to that calm idleness. Something oddly satisfying about shifting gears and driving.

Hi, I'm hedge one of your judges! Played at https://twitch.tv/hedge_in at 3:47:22 <3 (Part 2)
simple, yet really cool!
This was a fun one.
Simple but wonderful. I'm glad kami said the key is ö i was about to give up after trying almost every key but I'm glad i was able to play to the end after all!
It's a wonderful game and was a lot of fun. The interaction with the player is very well implemented and I even made it to the funny end
For everyone with a German keyboard: the key is Ö
ho no it's a different key for everyone :(
I think you are the first jam player to get the funny ending, thanks for playing !
I like cars so I liked the game! love the amount of gears, a small inconvenience maybe that you have to steer with mouse but also press buttons on keyboard while also accelerating
Thanks for playing !
Yes, at first it was a conscious choice to force the player to let go of the mouse, but seeing the feedback, it seems like it can be done better.
That was fun!
Yeah that was funny, and had a great sense of speed. I was not expecting to fly into space. Nice going!
This was awesome! Luckily I checked the comments first to see that "M" = ";" on QWERTY keyboards.
Very fun and humorous experience overall, I really like how the speed feels when you reach insane gears. The only difficulty I had was with the controls, because my left hand was stretched so far across the keyboard to reach 'W & ;' or 'W & O'. However, it didn't stop me reaching Gear 14 and flying off to space!
It would be interesting to see how a curved-world (Subway Surfer) style shader would feel like on this - to take wide corners at Mach 10!
Yeah, the straight road, is a little boring, could have more variety, and a subway surfer curve world shader would have made this quite trippy, I will explore that ;), Thanks for your comment !
Very cool game, I liked playing it, HOWEVER there is a game-breaking bug that unfortunately ruins the fun - after a while, you get an engine malfunction that requires you to press M. However, when you press M, nothing happens. This is on both web and standalone. Apart from that, the idea and execution is very good, the controls feel nice, and the interactive tutorial is very good at explaining the game. Car sounds are always hard so it's nice to hear that working. I only managed to get to level 10 because of the M problem. Also, you can't really tell if the O key it's telling you is maybe a D or 0 but I quickly figured it out so it's not a big problem.
Ho, I no, didn't catch this one, it works fine for me but I guess it's because I'm with a french keyboard, I think semicolon will be the key to press on QWERTY keyboard, sorry for this one... Thanks for your comment !
Ahhhh that would be it, thanks, it is a great game
