I like the simplicity of the controls, but the objectives are clear and challenging enough to keep the player engaged! I think ya'll did great with making a game that fits the theme.

It was a bit of a challenge for to protect the reefs from all the incoming fish. I was really intrigued by the story, and the dialogue at night was really comforting. Seeing all my hard work pay off with the reef growing was so nice. One thing that I find odd was why Malcolm was in a different art style compared to the rest of the game, as he's the only pixelated character in the game. He just feels out of place in the game. There was some issues with the music, but that was probably my computer against you. Overall, you did a great job with your game and it fits really well with the theme of the jam. Amazing work!

Thanks for trying out the game! And we appreciate the comment!

Don't worry about Malcom, maybe he's just a hologram or some super AI that inhabits the oil rig? XD (Nah, we were just experimenting with some art styles and didn't have the time to consolidate everything into a single style)

This game took a surprising amount of work to make sure that those reefs remained untouched! Lots of managing small things in your head, but that made it so that even though initially I wasn't sure how difficult things would be, I found myself scrambling (one might even say, floundering) to make sure everything was getting done on time!

Thanks for trying the game! And we appreciate the comment (and the pun)!

Indeed, those pesky parrotfish are quite the nuisance! Unfortunately we were not able to add more "predator" variations in time for this submission. Once again, thanks for giving it a go!

Chasing away all the fish was hard work! It was fun to see the corals grow. Overall the game looks polished but the gameplay needs more variation.

Thank you for trying out the game! And we appreciate the comment!

We had to keep the scope small due to various constraints, we do hope that at least the existing gameplay is captivating enough!

Perhaps we will build upon it next time. Who knows?

I really enjoyed your game! I think it encapsulated the theme very well. I loved how you showed both the growth of the coral and what sort of impact dismantling the oil rig would have, along with how it would disrupt the positive ecological impact it's currently making. Your game did a good job in showing that environmental progress is not a black-and-white situation (like with removing all of the oil rigs from the ocean just because they're not "natural").

I'm interested in seeing if any new mechanics are added in the final release and how it progresses from here. Nice job!

Unfortunately, we are not likely to add any major features right now. But we're glad that you enjoyed the gameplay, narrative and the setting!
