Got questions? Ask them here!

Hi! I had a question! If we go for something a little more involved such as a boardgame are we allowed to use the cereal itself for player pieces and such? Can we include a "fake toy" to be a boardgame piece?

HostSubmitted

Yes of course! Using the cereal as part of the game is an excellent idea 馃槉

So the game will go on the back of the cereal box, could there be a prize inside the cereal that could be used in the game?

Excited about this one, never tried making a physical game

That's a fantastic idea! Using a prize from inside the box for the game would be very cool.

hello, i would like to ask;

when a user buys the bundle, will the rights go to him or will they remain with us creators?

HostSubmitted

It will be the same as when anyone buys anything on Itch - they own a copy of it, and you still own the rights to your work. You can put whatever licence you want on your work to portect it.

What sort of limitations are there on outside components? I saw the description mention dice - so for example, how many would be acceptable to include?

HostSubmitted

No limitations, but I would say it's best to keep them to the types of components that people would usually have available (dice, cards, etc.).

Do I have to include the rules of the game in the design or could it be seperate?

HostSubmitted

Well the rules need to be printed on the cereal box, so they will be part of the design. I don't fully understand your question so if you clarify a little more, I might be able to be more helpful.

Hi! Is there a discord server for the jam? And were there any past editions of this jam yet?

HostSubmitted

There's no separate Discord server for this. It's the first time doing this particular jam, but I have run others before. I might set up a server as a catch-all for all jams and things, but for now I'm not doing that.
