Hi everyone,

I apologize for the delay getting this thing rolling, Ive been waiting for itch.io staff to create the bundle for me but the helpful folks on discord informed me that its much faster and easier to just set it up myself. So im waiting for one more participant who asked for late submission links, but then we are going to get this show on the road. So hopefully we can get approval links out to everyone by the end of the weekend.

Thanks Again everyone,

James Jeffries

I know this is quite late or somewhat pre-mature but I just wanted to say thank you for letting me have this opportunity to not only promote my game and the lore of the world of Terra de Target, but to also help you have your mother recover from this humongous hurdle. I will soon update this on the devlog for Rinoa Quest and I will also notify my team of the act of being a Good Samaritan. May the Great Plunger be with you!

PS, by the time all remaining participants approve the bundle, do expect to see an updated demo of the game! *salute*

Might need to get in touch with every one, as i didnt get alerted to the fact there was an approval email until i came here. Which is likely the reason you still have 12 outstanding.

And I believe it worked. Because we now have four participants remaining! Let's cross our fingers, shall we?

I just messaged two of those last four holdouts on the related submitted listings.

Let's get this bundle moving!

I left comments on their assets pages yesterday(or maybe the day before) to remind them. I think at this point it's just a matter of waiting for them to login. If i ever do another bundle i think i'll add custom fields for more contact information.

One more holdout! Let's all make it, for Pixonix's Mom!

I went to their website today and sent a reminder to their 2 contact emails, hopefully they'll see it soon, at this point I'm not really sure what else to try.

Well, a last recourse would be to remove them from the bundle.

Someone on Discord mentioned that this is possible on the backend to avoid bundles never going live due to people not being cooperative our just disappearing.

That particular participant has a lot of content and has made like 1,500+ posts, they seem pretty active, however their last post was over 2 weeks ago so wondering if something unfortunate happened. I looked around the backend and couldn't figure out how to prune participants, but this is my first bundle so not terribly familiar with all the workings of it. If someone more familiar knows how to do it I'm open to the info. Worst case I could simply start a new bundle, excluding that particular person and extend the length of the sale to make up for time lost on this one. But I think I should give him just a bit more time before doing anything drastic

Sounds like a great approach, mate! If anything, you are giving them a bit more of time to get to it before taking any other measure. I believe people over discord can be helpful on that end on how to prune people if necessary.

Giving them a bit more time is certainly fine and I hope that last person contributing here is okay.

Based on what has been said it seems like they might be in crisis. I sold some personalized items on Etsy in the past where a customer was super communicative up until they suddenly weren't. Often it was due to them, or one of their family members, suddenly getting sick or having a serious accident. Or worse, someone died.

Bad things often happen. We will try to be patient and understanding, and helpful where possible.

If the final holdout cannot be reached and they are unable to participate then they can eventually be cut from the bundle. I bet there are tutorials on how to make that work on the itch Discord, or maybe it is discussed in a tutorial somewhere else online like on YouTube, some itch related blog, etc.

And if Pixonix can't figure out how to do that, well:

I am not thrilled by the option of starting the whole process over but if we do submissions again maybe I can have 2 or 3 asset packs submitted next time to assist and not just the one. It's a learning experience not just for the bundle creator but also for many of us as participants. I didn't realize multiple submissions were even an option going in. Now, seeing what others did, I do. Maybe a few additional new people can contribute added valuable content the second time too to fill this out more. I mean, in the event we do have to restart we might as well expand on things a little bit the second time to improve the odds of the bundle being effective when it finally launches. If nothing else, that allows us to recover the losses from the material which got pruned out.

Well, the submission process wouldn't necessarily need to start over again, just the approval processes, which honestly might even happen if we were to cut only the one individual, because the rules for bundles say that any change that influences the Split of other participants requires reapproval from everyone. I read that in the occurrence that someone needs cut from a bundle, I should reach out to, itch.io support, though I don't have much confidence in doing so as I've never gotten a response from them on anything. I could leave the current bundle open, just in case, but start a new one excluding that participant and see which one gets to launch faster.  I do fear that something terrible may have happened with that person, I've reached out on all communication platforms I could and it's like he just dropped off the planet. Anyway, if you have additional items you'd like to add to the bundle, post the links to the project pages and if I start a fresh bundle I'll add them.
