How does you game fit the theme?
The player believes they are stranded alone on an island, only to discover a fairy that will help them gather resources and solve puzzles to escape. They then travel away from the island, united with a friend in their future adventures and are now not alone.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
All the code is original by me (Evyn) and all models are original works by my 3D modeller Paul. Whistling audio is original, the rest is sourced from freesound.org with the authors' permission.

Really loved playing your game! The little details made it very fun to play. Loved the audio as well and the sonic cues were super helpful.  The world was beautiful and it has a lot of potential for further development.  We were playing it with the team, and thought it would have been very helpful to have access to a menu or a more clear visual indication of what keys do what (in case you miss the first popup).  Really good job!

The game's graphics and eerie music are both fantastic! My favourite button was the whistle button. Running around in the landscape was incredibly peaceful and enjoyable, even if I was unable to interact with the chests for some reason and was therefore unable to progress too far. Would you be ever so kind to play and rate my game? You dont have as its completly up to you :D

Unfortunately couldn't get past the area with the sliding door and all the levers (i crafted the "rock cage" weight thingy and set it on the high lever but couldn't tell if I'm supposed to do anything else)
Love the whistling mechanic and how effortless the crafting is. Can safely say the protagonist will soon have their nautical license revoked

Haha thanks so much for playing! I’m glad you enjoyed :)

You were super close with the final puzzle, there is another lever nearer the drawbridge which you have to make your fairy hold while the weight is on the hooked one and then the drawbridge will open :)

I’ve never tried to design a puzzle before and I wasn’t super happy with that one but at least my next will be better!

Thank you so much! :)

Very nice visuals, and making a game with an inventory, gathering and crafting system in just a week is no small feat. Well done!

The controls and sounds could both use a little balancing. Then again, we could all use a few more days to improve our games!

Developer

Thanks for playing! I really appreciate the feedback and balancing those aspects is definitely one of the many things that I need to look at improving in the future :)

I couldn't figure out how to make the axe, I had 10 woods and 5 stones but I didn't know how to craft anything, also the walk is very slow and the mouse sensitivity is super high. I liked the environment and the sound effects.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing and for the feedback! If you gather 14 wood and 7 stone the crafting option will appear. Next time I’m going to look at how I can make this more clear :)

Game feel is immaculate. From the whistling to the graphics and music. The sensitivity however was a bit too high. The 3rd person controller is slick. Good job!!

Thanks so much for the kind words I really appreciate it!

This plays great! Love the graphics. The grass shader works great.  Very impressive for just 7 days!

Developer

Thanks so much for the kind words!

Not to detract from what you've made but if you also tried my game, it would mean a whole lot to me :))

I really love the atmospheric music and the graphics of the game! The whistle button also was a joy for me. Unfortunately, I was unable to get too far in since I couldn't interact with the chests for some reason, but running around in the environment still was very calming and enjoyable!

Developer

Thanks for playing and for the kind words! Sorry you couldn’t get too far, you should just be able to walk up to the chests and press F to harvest their wood and stone.

Nice! My laptop couldn't handle the Graphics very good so I didn't get too far but i love the style of it in general. Nice idea: Play as Wilson! Good atmospheric sound, the high bell sound is sometimes a bit loud.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Optimising the graphics for different machines was something I unfortunately didn’t get time for. I’ll take a look at adjusting the bell sound. You may be surprised to know a couple of older people I showed the game to couldn’t hear the bell at all or very faintly!

Glad you enjoyed :)

I'll just rate an average of 3 as unfortunately the game keeps crashing when I'm about to get the axe from the first chest. No way to determine what caused this - might be an AMD thing. From what I saw running around the rest of the island, this was a cute game. I was impressed that you added a cutscene to give a sense of story to it.

Developer

Thank you so much for playing! I’m sorry you experienced those crashes I’m not sure what the issue is. I think some optimisations should be made in the future for sure :)

nice game very nice

would you rate mine too

the concept is good, i just didnt know what to do, the art style is cool
a little explanation or controls to help the player know what to do would be cool
i would change my rating tho

Developer

Thanks for playing! Where did you get stuck? The first thing the player has to do is break open some of the crates nearby the spawn point. After that, you'll have enough materials to craft an axe with which you can chop trees and free the fairy from the cave in the forest. Let me know if you need any more help, guiding the player in game is definitely something I need to work on.

yup i didnt know how to break the crates xD
