I love this concept! though the music do gets a bit old after some time. i got to level 4 i think and it was a bit too hard to control when you sometimes slide and miss a platform completely.

How does you game fit the theme?
The goal of each level is to meet the lonely box by avoiding obstacles. Completing a level is like saying, "You're not alone," to the lonely box.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Code: Yes and no.
I have written all of it myself but I have watched YouTube videos in order to learn new or unknown things.
Assets: Yes and no.
All of the game art and sound effects were made by me.
The music was used from incompetech.com.

I LOVED the movement system, it was easy to get speed and I just love how It's literally yeeting a box. But the levels didn't really work with how easy it was to gain momentum and height, making the levels very difficult because some of the jumps were precise and I wasn't able to beat the game. The art is nice and simple and has some nice shadows. The audio was loud and I couldn't turn it down. The window was strangely larger than my display and I don't believe I could change the size, but for a short time playing it didn't really matter to me. I had a BLAST because I just really love the movement system and the game just kept me in even though I could barely beat level 2.
Interesting concept and nice visuals!
Unfortunately I found the game a bit frustrating for a couple reasons: first, the player feels a bit too slippery, causing me to end up sliding into spikes unexpectedly.
Secondly, it was kinda hard for me to gauge the jump power, and it was especially hard to control the jump when I tried to jump quickly after touching ground (to avoid sliding into spikes for example).
All in all the game is very cool, maybe I'm just bad :D
Thank you for your feedback!
I'd like to say that the game is meant to be hard. At least, harder than most games. But then again, fairly easier than games like Jump King or Pogostuck.
The sliding into spikes is intentional. As weird as it sounds, I wanted the game to be frustrating and even designed levels whilst keeping that in mind.
The jump power measurement is not user-friendly, I agree. Basically the longer the 'click and drag', the more the jump force, but the max is capped.
A trick to prevent sliding into spikes isn't to jump upwards, but to 'click and drag' in the direction opposite to which the player is moving to cancel out the momentum (not intentional but works fairly well).
You're not bad, the game is just like that dw xD.
Thank you so much for playing!!
I liked it. It was a very simple but challenging game. Some Jumps were a bit annoying but overall it was very fun to play.
Cool game. It got hard pretty fast tho imo, I wish I could have a more simple level without spikes to get used to the controls before getting challenged, but I liked the vibe and the colors.
Nice game! It reminded me of Super Meat Boy for some reason. Despite the difficulty, I really enjoyed it! Good job! :D
What a great game! The game doesn't 100% fit the theme but I understand the point. It's really fun but it's frustating that the cube slides and die in a pike. I would've made a trajectory visualation or just made the player stick on the ground. Else, it's a very clean game with no bugs found (other games have a lot xd). Good job!
Omg it's the square game dev! Hey! I actually wanted the cube to slide so if the player yeets in a horizontal-ish direction, it would move like a regular platformer.
The trajectory visualization is something I could've added but I just didn't know how and honestly it's harder without it *maniac laugh*
Thanks a lot for playing and for the feedback!!
I like the calm look of the game and its hard but thats what makes is more fun. good job
Pretty cool game, would have been nice to have a thing showing you your trajectory before you Yeet but it's ok
