How does you game fit the theme?
The enemies are shadowpeople and aren't real and can't hurt you. All a figment of the players imagination, created by the stress of being alone deep in a forest.

The ending though, might suggest that in fact, nothing you're experiencing is real

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
We wrote all the code, but most assets aren't made by us, but they've been credited in the description and in the readme.

The sound design was really great! We loved that it was all directional so you could tell where the monsters were coming from. Nicely done!

Developer

Thank you! I sat for hours just tweaking how far away you should be able to hear them from! Semi-happy with the result, but it does the job very well so I'm super happy with it!

Thank you so much :)

The atmosphere created with the graphics and the sound were fantastic, and the build up to the final fireplace gave for some eerie vibes. The ending was trippy, but I was hooked. Nice job!

Thank you so much! Spent a lot of time trying to get the leveldesign just right. Glad you liked it!

The level and sound design were great. Gave me some inspiration for my own projects. The gameplay was meh, not really much danger so the guys weren't very scary, just annoying.

Developer

thank you so much for playing, and for the feedback <3

Thank you!

Wow really good job with the atmosphere. I love the old ps1 era style.  Even though you did not make the assets, you made really good use of them. The creatures are cute but I liked to keep a distance.

Developer

yeah they're cuter at a distance <3 thanks for playing!

Pretty awesome how you were able to see the fire in the distance on the mountain and progressed upwards towards it--very atmospheric. I love horror games with a good atmosphere, awesome job :)

Developer

Thank you so much! I spent sooooooooo long making sure the forest felt just right. Thank you so much!

This game is the closest looking similar to mine so far, so I had to play it :) Also, rated, pretty good atmosphere. I did find the sound of the creatures cute though!

Developer

Thank you so much! Really? I had nightmares about it after listening to it for hours LOL

Shadow people took my hands, but luckily I can type with my nose....

Shadowpeople ate my liver. But not before I ignited them like a magnesium rod. This was glorious, thank you!

Developer

your liver is theirs now, forever

Thanks so much!
