Ranked from 5 ratings. Score is adjusted from raw score by the median number of ratings per game in the jam.
In what way does your game fit the theme?
You explore the dungeon and fight enemies together - as in in a group.
Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
I wrote the engine myself before the jam started, but the game code was all written inside of the jam. The sound effects were all done in the timeframe and the music was downloaded for free from a website.

Neat that you have your own C++ engine! The game is fun, but to my mind the enemy doesn’t really fit it - slimes just jump here and there leaving the player without any tactical opportunities. Maybe it would be better if they were smaller & more numerous? Anyways, great job!
Btw, as a C++ programmer I couldn’t help but explore the binaries & I learned that you are using a Linux machine, so why not include a Linux build as well? It is always extremely heartwarming for a Linux user to see a Linux version of the game here.
I really liked the simple graphics of the little guys and the ground texture. The sound effects also added a nice touch. One thing is it seemed like my little guys could only deal effective damage when the slimes were right on top of them, maybe you could increase their rock-throwing range? This idea in general is cool, if you expanded on the world setting and thought of other things for the little guys to do I think it could cool.
Quite a cool little RTS game :D. Massive kudos for making it in your own game engine. I've never had the time nor the patience to make myself go through that process. It's criminal that this entry doesn't have more ratings. Apart from a lack of content, one thing I'd improve on would be the camera controls because they felt quite clunky and seemed to be FPS-bound?
The fact that this is on a self-made game engine makes this extremely impressive. I really love the graphics feel of this, the way the background moves when the camera moves makes it look really cool.
The only really glaring issue is the lack of any real content (still fun watching my soldiers get slaughtered by slimes), if there was something more to do, this would perfect. But I really love the style and the fluidity of the game, it plays like butter. Really nice. :))
Very impressive for a self-made game engine. It's clear that if you had more time to polish it could have been a bit more complex. I think it was missing a bit of strategy that could make it feel more engaging.
