when you die you get rewinded back to the start
Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
i wrote all the code myself and all sprites except the background sprite i made from scratch

Really fun platforming and dodging but I had trouble with the slopes, they acted more as a ramp to launch me into the next trap than a way to move upwards, it made it really hard to get precision jumping over spices and dodging missiles.

I enjoyed the game. but the Rewind feature gets tedious after a time, maybe you could increase the time of the rewind and slow time at the point where the player messed up. That would show them their mistakes. Also you should add some background music as right now, it gets very silent. Apart from that great game.

I liked it overall. Feels fun to play. Think the atmosphere of the game is actually really good.
The rewind feature started to make it feel unenjoyable though. It's like torturing the player because he died. It would be better if the rewind speed was much higher.

thanks i put a lot of effort into the atmosphere and i agree the rewind was too slow but in a future version it will be 3X faster than is is now
Great game! It took me a few tries to beat it but I got there. I feel like it would be better if you did the rewind mechanic at 2x speed.

Decent challenge and difficulty. Game was enjoyable! The few points I would criticize about is how you utilized the rewind. It's okay to rewind because you died but it's rage-inducing to watch myself rewind all the way back to the start and attempt it all again. Maybe rewind just a few seconds before death? It'd be much better to just instantly snap you back to start though; rewinding is more forgiving. Also, my momentum when going up the slopes prevent me from jumping over the spikes, which was a bit annoying. It was a fun experience though and congrats on Game Jam! Rated! I think the atmosphere is the best part of this. It's very dark and moody and the lighting works well. I definitely would rather have a normal respawn over the rewind though.

Thanks for the feed back! I definitely agree that the rewinding you back needs some work. i got a late start so i didnt have enough time to work on it more.
When playing I left like being able to just start over would have been nice, the further I got the more I had to wait to continue playing as I had to watch my dude run back to the start. Maybe the character was a bit fast too I struggled being able to not run off slopes into pits but that might have been my bad platforming other than that its pretty nice.
Thanks for the comet. I do agree that the rewind system needs some work. I have got some feed back saying the same thang about the speed of the player so i am going to tweak that some more to.
