Hey, I played it and finished  it. To start, the art is very nice, simple but very well done, even for small details like the box appearing at the end of each level, so thats fun.  However, for music, I don't understund your choice; actually, It is good, the music itself, but it just does not match what is happening in the game, it is loud and too big for it, when I hear this music I think for example about a boss in a funny  platformer... Moreover, the game is too boring, I don't understund the goal about it, you have to wait 8 seconds each time you put the vhs,  the gameplay and using of the theme of rewind isn't that much impressive. To finish, there are too many bugs,  the ground is disappreaing in a lot of places and we can walk through the gray ground where we should not walk, so we can generally go behind closed doors with no need to find the key. The whole good thing about this is the art...

Thanks so much for the kind words. To clear up some confusion, the gray ground that you can walk on was an intended feature and was mentioned in the description. As for the fun of the game, I agree it is boring. Thank you so much for playing it! :)

Fine game overall.  Not very challenging though. It was also a bit boring to just wait for all the tapes to rewind at the end

The gameplay loop is a bit repetitive, but the pixel art is nice and the music is great

I like music and pixel arts! Good job!

The gameplay loop is a bit simple, there's not really any way you can lose a level it seems. But the pixel art and music are really solid and I especially like the spinning/falling VHS tapes on the menu screen, very nice!

This was actually my team's original idea, but we didn't end up going with it and I'm glad so see someone did! This is awesome for a first game, and I liked the layout and the color scheme. One recommendation I have would be to make a tutorial/super simple level 1 with a very small room where the player just gets one tape and rewinds it.

reminds me of games from when I was little! compliments

I love the labyrinthine feeling of the levels! That's definitely how Blockbusters felt to me as a kid, this game captured it perfectly. Exploring each level was my favorite part, and it was nice to jam out to the music as I did so. One suggestion is that it might be nice to have some sort of rewinding minigame, or be able to rewind multiple tapes at once. At the end of each level I just had to wait to rewind all the tapes I collected. Also, the pixel art is fantastic, especially the movie posters. Elf, Men in Black, and I'm not sure what the third one is, but they all look great.
