In what way does your game fit the theme?
When you reach the goal you proceed to a new level. When you are killed bh enemies then the level is restarted but when you die by falling down you are rewinded to previous level.

Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes!

Couldn't finish the level.

I couldn't figure out how to traverse the world. The addition of a tutorial was good, but didn't help me. I read all the text you wrote in the game description, but to no avail.

The grapple hook lifts me up, but then I tend to get stuck below the platform.  I understand that you can spawn these spheres for help when you can't find a block, but they seam to spawn in a random location and have the same issue as the blocks. When I swing I usually miss all platforms and end up in the "hop of doom spiral".

I would like to suggest to increase the platform width and increase the friction on them. It would definitely help me. Also you should rethink the way you place the platforms. I assume you place them randomly, but they end up in a hard to navigate layout.

Also two other things:

Browser version only runs in Chrome not Firefox (I noticed that with a couple other games, what unity build/ render pipeline are you using?)

You should make the menu adapt to the screen size. (Change the option on the canvas object from constant pixel size to scale)

Btw your game is fancier then my first jam game :)

I'm not really sure what the premise for this is. I couldn't find anything rewind related and it doesn't seem like the mouse target does anything.

Developer

Well, I am really new to game development. So couldn't focus much to make it perfect. Mouse target just helps you to climb upwards and if you use left or right keys then you can probably add some force up(by leaving the mouse click).

The thing related to rewind is: If you die with the enemy, your level will be restarted, if you die by falling down from the platform or to the ground, then your previous level will be loaded. Ofcourse previous loaded level is disabled in tutorial and first level

Hey be sure to check the "Make this file playable in browser" in your edit game page. It's a WebGL build but you made it available for download

Done!

Works now and I played it. Unfortunately the boxes that you can use to grab spawn out of the screen sometimes so you are stuck at the bottom, also I think that the camera should follow the player so you can see what is ahead of you and you can aim. Maybe do like a rising lava/spikes instead of taking off a life cause player exited the camera's view. Glad you got it working and good luck!

Thanks! Really appreciate with your feedback. It's my first ever self created game before it I just use to watch tutorials on youtube or udemy. I am looking further to deep dive in it!

The best way to learn is to make your own games so you are doing great. Try to keep the games small in the beginning but pick some ideas that you enjoy since you're gonna play your game a lot to test it. These jams are great to learn since they push you to finish games and be creative.
