Nice entry. One annoying part was, when I talked with and NPC and pressed Esc.... A tutorial would be nice. Liked the artstyle.
The environment is very nice and the game play seems fun. Although the only thing I can figure out to do is talking to the NPC.
I really appreciate the graphs, however, I can't do anything but interact with the npcs. Despite it, it seems to be a good game when finished. Good job here! Keep improving!

This was my first game jam and I was participating by myself so i got a bit overwhelmed with the workload in tight timeframe and it seems that i should have prioritized how-to and game mechanic visibility(ie. more apparent progress in tile braking) more.
In next jam I'll do better :D

Yes, you can collect the minerals to complete quests
My mini youtube video shows basic gameplay, you dig and collect minerals and get quests from the cowboy. He pays you and you can get upgrades from the alien like storekeep. For next jam game i'll take time to create a simple how-to section as the game seems to be a bit confusing to get going without it.

Most of the graphics were CC0 from opengameart.org
I was working alone and not best with 2D graphics so i had to resort open source stuff but managed to find great graphics for this use.
