How does the game fit the theme?
Premise wise it fits the theme. We had a mechanic that was going to complement the theme but ran out of time. So none. Please enjoy!

A little of it, We used a bit of mujoco. For physics.

Yeah I cant rate this unfortunately , I don't have a controller ... or friends to play this with :'-)
Its a shame , I really liked the vibe of this game, it give me the good old days vibe.
I liked the "Ping pong legendary" scream at the start.
The characters designs are pretty nice (Except for Chargo , like what are those shoes my man! 😂)
Might play it when the arcade mode drops.
I will keep that in mind and let you know when it drops. I am glad that you like the vibes. Fighting games and arcade games was definitly an inspiration for us!
I wish I could play this as a single player, I read the description that is being worked on but I can't give a rate to this without playing the game properly and I don’t have someone to play haha
The characters look a bit interesting or I like their descriptions, the song at the start is nice and it’s great to see there are different stages with their own music, I like the voice that says the title of the game at the start. I tried to play the versus mode to only see the game and it looks nice, it can be hard to hit the ball because I’m not used to the game, I have a controller and tried to play alone but it’s impossible to handle both characters xD
I think the only thing I could say is maybe don’t let the characters be on the same part of the table, I could try to block the start of the opponent or be annoying haha, unless there is a plan to block or something, but I would restrict this

Noted, characters will have a barrier! It also took me forever to be able to play with two controls. To play test it XD

Tried to play it with controller (just to see the game because I don't have a second player to play with).
The game seems to be good but needing 2 players with two different controllers make it unable to be played easily. Maybe adding controller+mouse support and making the p2 be a bot would make the game accessible to everyone.
Yep, unfortunately only two player was built for the game jam. But maybe we will add something in post. Thanks for checking it out. Will look at yours soon. Keyboard and controller does work. But 2p versus still needs a second player. Thanks again.
Annoyingly, I couldn't seem to get further than selecting a character with WASD and then space. The character would be selected but then nothing would happen. I was gutted because I was hyped up after that absolutely AMAZING intro and music!Ya unfortunatly you have to have a controller connected and a second person. Thanks for giving it a try. Only a local 2p versus game at the moment. Arcade exsists but doesn't works maybe post this game jam.

The game was pretty fun! I was able to get Arcade mode working for me for a while, and I loved all the little details and flourishes around the place, like the extras menu showing character bios. I did struggle a little with the controls initially but i got the hang of it after a while. Really solid game!
Yeah, I tried selecting my character and I pressed space then nothing happened after that. It seems a real shame to have 6 people work on this and not have it work. Please let me know if it's a me issue though and I'd love to rate it. Also I love the main theme from the main menu, an absolute banger. I'd love it if you could check out my game in the meantime, I think you will get a good laugh out of it.
I see, And you tried the versus. The arcade is unfortunatly down. So local multiplayer is the only thing working. Thank you so much for the feedback.

Game doesn't work for me, Im stuck in the main menu and I cant click any items :(
Is the case with keyboard as well? On web sometimes, it automatically connects keyboard first. When you go into versus it resets and you can do two controllers after. Let me know if it works and I will take a look at your soon!
