Cheers mate. Had a pretty good time with it. Short and simple :). Just a bit annoying to control the vacuum cleaner lol. And the new were the cheery on the top.

Hope that you'll also rate mine :) https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-12/rate/2973690

Really cool game!! Will have to play again to go through the coffee news again xD

Cool atmosphere and the end graphics were really good. Gave a eerie vibe even though there was no horror aspect

Kudos!! You made a great game.. :D

Edit: Played through the game again for some reason I am not able to file taxes.. Wanted to see if the news change when we filed taxes. Figured out that the numpad was not working, don't know if it is something you can fix.

Also would suggest if the during the was dishes part camera is fixed on the dishes while the mouse controlled the scrubber. You effects will also be more visible and it will not be disorienting... Especially the final boss the PAN :D This was how my screen looks when I clean the PAN.xD

Thank you so much! Glad to hear you liked the news!

Yeah, the taxes task unfortunately doesn't work with numpad keys as of now, can easily be fixed however! Will do that after the jam ends if people wish for it!

Oh yeah the dishes effects! I planned on the camera being fixed and the mouse controlling the sponge that is true, but to save time and double down on the crazy and fun aspect, I decided to do it this way! I always loved how the motion blur made it look like a mess while you're just flinging your mouse, partially know what you're  doing, and laughing at the fact that this is just washing dishes! And when you'recalling the pan the final boss, you'd be correct if you were asking my mind while making it, and me thinking about it now! xD

Great game! The news on TV was hilarious, and I loved the humor with the optional taxes mission. Fantastic graphics and editing, well done!

Developer

Thank you very much! Credit to Mathias for the optional taxes idea xD

I like the games vibe and simple tasks as things get more weird/scary, well executed and good implementation of the theme I'd say. Graphics and audio were solid as well!

Developer

Thanks a lot! We're glad!

Short and sweet, definitely not what I was expecting. My speakers were a bit loud for part of that but overall not bad.

Thanks a lot!

The game is polished and runs smoothly, I liked the twist in the game and the television news channel!

I think they did all the mechanics in 2 days, and the rest of the week they just polished the game.

Developer(+1)

I'll take that assumption as a compliment so thank you! :D

Actually here's about how it went, first three days were spent on.......... nothing.

My computer broke 2 days before the jam and I got a new one purchased Tuesday, where I spent the day setting up the computer.

Mathias however was capable of doing the 3D modeling without me needing a computer of course so he got done with his tasks way before me! And we got the idea over Discord within the first hour of the jam so he got to work fast!

Before the weekend we tried slipping work on the game in between school work, so was a bit hectic for sure! We were set on getting the whole thing done in the weekend.

Before the weekend, none of the mechanics were programmed, the house and news sequences were put together and there was movement, that was it! D:

So we worked HARD in the weekend, getting every task made, fixing pesky bugs along the way (one of them took two hours to fix), and I told Mathias, who was already done and had a birthday party that Sunday, that I was not sleeping until all tasks outside of playtesting were done, so we polished late, playtested late, and the ending sequence with the music and sound design made a few hours before the jam ended, so Mathias often asked me for quick status report since it was getting close and he could barely do anything since he had already finished his tasks, so it was intense! Worked on it for 30 hours with no breaks aside from breakfast! Which was overall pretty fun I'd admit :)

We submitted the game 30 minutes before the jam ended, so it was thankfully not down to the single-digit minutes!

Overall we are really proud of how it came out and the positive comments always lighten our mood! So thank you very much!
