Solid gameplay and an interesting concept. The camera was a little difficult at times but it wasn't game breaking or anything.

Great job overall

The player has a solid set of stats and the mechanic of exchanging and improving is solid enough. The music is fitting and gets me ready for action. The moveset of the bosses is varied and fun, great job on that. Best of luck on the jam!

We are very proud of how it came out and are very appreciative when someone else get enjoyment out of our hard work. It is especially nice when the the players enjoy the things we thought were the best as well. Thank you for playing

Good concept and a solid foundation, The camera was bugged I think, made it very hard to aim. The animations are great, really good job on that part.

Developer

Thank you.  We couldn't quite hammer out the camera controls for WebGL seems to work better on PC.  The animations took a lot of tweaking but we felt it was good for the game jam maybe needs a nit more attention if it were to go to a full game. Thanks for playing.

Very fun bosses and overall! Idk if its the nature of being a web embed or the game but I was having a bit of trouble with the camera, often being challenging to aim. This made the bosses very difficult, so thank you for putting in the game jam cheaty settings, very useful indeed. I liked the movement and combat from the getgo, especially the somersault jump, real fun way of moving being just going up. The bosses have interesting designs and well made patterns. Some attacks feel a bit hard to dodge but there’s nothing wrong with a little challenge. The aesthetic and modeling of everything is very nice and well matched, very efficient usage of time for the exchange machine, i could imagine that taking forever to model. Overall a very fun experience, could definitely see it getting a full release with a bit more time cooking.

Thank you so much for digging deep into our game.  Like I said I don't use keyboard and mouse much so a lot of the testing was done with a controller so the camera is a bit off there. Honestly I think your right about the webGL that makes the camera so bad. It works better in the windows ver. We spent a lot of time fleshing out the algorithm for the bosses move set. We are proud of the way they turned out thank you for noticing.  Its a bit of vindication after a lot of tweaking and testing.  I wish I could make everything from scratch but we all know how fast Gamejam time run out lol.  We do hope to use this frame work in a future game.  Thank you again for playing and I'm glad you enjoyed it.

It's a solid effort but the controls need some work! Visually the game looks nice but I would recommend increasing the speed of the walk animation so it matches the character speed better :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks! We definitely tried to put our time into the boss mechanics more than the player animations. We had the 4 different speed levels, so we just increased the animation speed by a multiplier of that. The controls were pretty limited by design (eg no moving 'til your done with your attack etc, makes Melee more risky 😜)

Thanks for playing! And we wish you the best of luck.

The Boss Is pretty awesome but is very difficult to kill it, and i can't move the camera on y-axis but overall great game Brother :)

Developer(+1)

I'm glad you liked the boss.

You can play all three of the bosses individually by going to different doors, not sure which one you tried (the horned boss is very hard LOL). And you can use the "Game Jam Cheat" in the pause menu to crank up your stats to make it easier :) And yes, the y-axis is locked by design when you are locked-on to the target. If you un-target (by pressing the same button again) then you can move the camera in the y axis.

Thanks for playing! And good luck!

Impressive 3D graphics and exchange system! Wow. I feel off into oblivion somewhere, but other than that probably could be a cool game if you worked on it. Finding that you used pre-made assets and AI I guess makes it a little impressive but cool mechanics and exchange system nonetheless 3.7/5

Developer

Thanks. And sorry about that. I just put a note and a screenshot of the menu in the description. Sometimes that happens... it is a game jam after all LOL "if only we had more time!" says every game dev in a jam LOL

Good luck :)
