Game's take on the theme
You play as both beetles at the same time. the left side of the controller (left stick move, left trigger attack, left bumper jump) controls one, the right side controls the other. Scrap appears periodically, and as masters of improvised weaponry, you must use the few hits available to every weapon (before it breaks) to defeat the Angelichrome threat. Some weapons interact with each other when you use one character to hit the other, feel free to experiment! wasd + qe for left, ijkl + uo for right on keyboard

a little trouble with the controls but I really liked the idea, it is original and well thought out. the art side is really nice too

I had a really hard time controlling the characters with a keyboard unfortunately. I wish there had been a clearer description of the controls either in-game or on the page, because I couldn't get the characters to do much besides move/jump/dash around. Once I mashed something (unknown key) and a spear came flying out at the boss, I saw the fight started... but then it almost immediately ended as well and what I think was a cutscene began to play, followed by the credits. Pretty difficult to tell what led to that scenario. Unique art style and the music is banging for sure! The gameplay itself needs a lot more focus before it feels more like a game and less like an interactive artistic experience. Despite all that, you guys did well for your first game. Congrats on getting something playable done and uploaded!

Unfortunately, our game got submitted with a debug tool turned on, which one shot the boss! I think that was resolved though, so you might have to redownload to get the full experience

the debug spear "Voidlance" deicide ultraweapon exists in the current distribution of the game

Hey thank you!  I'm sorry about the control scheme, we focused so hard on controller use that keyboard players took a hit.  great job getting to halfway however, that's a true feat tbh

I'm not a fan of complicated control schemes. Nice ambiance with the introduction.
