The poll results are :

So, the theme should be : You are not the main character.

Good luck to everyone

Okay, I will waiting for you on Discord around that time.

Hi,

If you are okay for a 2.5D game with Defold engine, I'm very interested to collaborate with you.

My original post : https://itch.io/jam/collab-jam-25/topic/4684364/developer-searching-collaborator...

Hi,

I'd like to collaborate with you (see my post for the details: https://itch.io/jam/collab-jam-25/topic/4684364/developer-searching-collaborator...)

Also a big fan of David Lynch. I've recently seen Eraserhead for the first time (nearly the only one movie of him I've never watched) : what an experience ! Certainly one of his best work ! I also adore Sailor and Lula, and Lost Highway.

Hello,

I'm Snekos, an aspiring indie game developer and ex-professional java developer. I'm residing near Metz, France.

Not much to show in my game dev portfolio: I've previously succeeded to deliver a functional prototype for the Boss Rush Jam 2023: https://snekos.itch.io/a-little-hassle-for-doctor-tsuka

I'm quite motivated to succeed delivering in this jam for several reasons: to create in collaboration, to use my new shiny tech stack, to add a game to my portfolio, etc.

What I can contribute :

- game development with Defold

- game design (optional)

- writing (optional)

- project management (optional)

What collaborators would be welcome:

- 2D artist

- sound designer and/or music composer

- game designer

If you're interested, DM me in Discord or Itch (my user ID is 'snekos' for both).

Thanks for your comments. I'll probably not entirely follow the Game-A-Week methodology because I'm a wannabe indie gamedev and I'd like to work soon on a commercial project ! But I think this is a fantastic thing to do for anyone who wants to become serious about game development. One similar alternative is to participate frequently to game jams.

Thanks ! The "funny" thing is that my friend made the same error I made myself some years ago : trying to learn 3D animation inside a game jam ; this is probably one of the few worst thing you can do ;)

Thank you very much ! The design document was much more ambitious but the developer hasn't worked enough :)

Thank you, the artist is Yumepix https://yumepix.itch.io

You're right, for "budget" reasons, the animations of attack, planting and growing were scrapped ! And there is nearly zero tuning of the difficulty...

I'm not a fan of complicated control schemes. Nice ambiance with the introduction.

There is no game in the download.

How do you aim ?

Not very inspired by the theme and the execution is rough.

Good concept but there are some bugs.

I like the concept and the visual style. Well done !

How is this a boss rush game ? This is just a very rough tower defense game.

Very nice work overall but the gameplay is a bit boring.

I didn't like that your speed is equal to the boss's speed.

Congratulations for this jam release. I'm sure that much work has gone into it.

Could you explain the rules ? And maybe remove the tutorial mode because I don't think it is implemented.
