How did you/your team interpret the theme?
As you explore different parts of the house and travel to alternate versions of them, you are granted new abilities by your new environment to enable you to get through them.

How was your/your team's experience in this jam?
Overall good. Christmas made it difficult to work the first week, but I think we worked together to make a solid product.

A neat little game! Really nice retro style graphics. It reminded me a bit of Pitfall on the Atari!

My main non-complaint complaint is that I had to switch to a Windows computer to play it. In the future, since you’re using Unity, you should consider making a WebGL version. You will get a lot more plays / feedback.

That said, a really solid game jam entry. I’d love to see it polished up a bit more and get some more content in the future.

Developer

Hi, thanks for the kind feedback!
Yes, I think we overlooked this issue (which now seems obvious) due to our inexperience in actually releasing projects in Unity, moving forward this will be a key consideration.

We definitely plan to expand this game in future following the jam, thanks again!

Is this Windows only, there's no platform shown by the download button and it doesn't run on Linux?

Developer

Sorry, this is Windows only.

I thought I'd ticked the box but it must have cleared when I uploaded the new build, my apologies for the disappointment.

OK thanks anyway, good luck!

I did build it in the PC, Mac and Linux stand alone platform in Unity so it should load on all 3 platforms.

How do you execute the program on Linux?

Oh I'm stupid, sorry, I only built for Windows, you have to select the platform to build for. I've built one for Mac and Linux now (they're all the same build version, no cheating here):

For future reference, when you select the “Stand Alone” option in Unity, you still need to build it 3 times (once for each platform). By default, you only have the option to build for your computers platform and you will need to use Unity Hub to install the build support for Linux and Mac.

What a cool game! The hitbox of spikes are a bit too big because sometimes it seems like the player didn't hit them but is respawned anyway.  The art style is special and consistent although checkpoints and teleporters were a hard to distinguish as well as the spikes. But overall great work!
