Very cool! I love the ambience and the mood, and the way you've integrated the puzzle element as part of a story-telling device is brilliant. I'll admit I had to use the walkthrough extensively, but I just had to see the ending and evidently I'm terrible at this sort of thing :)!
The ending caught me off guard too. I won't spoil it, but when I saw the shape I thought he had built a set of stairs to walk over the girl (thus learning his lesson to stop pursuing her). Your ending certainly goes in a different direction!
Great job, man!
Awesome game! the art was fantastic and the lack of to much music until the end just let you bask in the puzzles, story, and art. just amazing. My only question is did you hand draw some of the art because it has that pencil-ey sketchiness to it.
hey! Glad you liked it. And, no, I only hand drawed the levels and all the inside thinking part, the restwas using a powerpoint filter (actually I'm not joking, you can check it yourselve). However to mantain all the art style at the same line using the filter I had a lot of fights with photoshop colo edit and pexel image finding (all image are royalitie free).
Very interesting idea! I really loved it at the start, but it got progressively more unforgiving and felt like trial and error towards the end. Would have loved to see more interesting shapes like the arrow but also clued better - for example, it could be clued with an empty sign that points in the same direction as it.
Very original, unfortunately I got stuck on the level with the platform and up arrow >< Even the hint didn't help me enough :c But it's a really cool concept and unique!
It looks so interesting I was really looking forward to playing this, after I saw the screen shot on the discord, but I don't have a PC :( could you possibly make a Mac version later ?
Fantastic game! The story-behind it was great, and the ambiance/art does feel as you read a visual novel, all of that on one scene only!
Breaking the hearth with the axe was hilarious.
I spend around 10 minutes messing around with the last 5 stars that are shown in the last scene for a secret ending haha.
During my gameplay, I got REALLY stuck on the down arrow, which makes me want to quit, but persevere for the history.
I think this game is quite finished, and don't need anymore puzzles, the experience was great.
