Breaking things was very fun, although sometimes the physics was a little unpredictable at times. Great game!
Thanks! Glad to see you enjoyed it!
I liked the object breaking, especially the flag, quite funny. Learning the cube movement was challenging but satisfying after getting it. I think one small thing that would help is just a bigger camera so you can see where you are going.
Some of the levels have a bigger camera but not by much but definitely some levels like level 12 (fine control) could 100% use a bigger camera.
Awesome idea for a game, it would be cool to see it extended!
I also liked the bonus of getting to mess around with the test level at the end, it was pretty fun running around breaking everything.
Thanks! I figured theres no reason the dev test level should be hidden from players so its just a bonus.
If I get back around to it at some point, I do want to polish the game up and have some more levels.
This could be the beginning of a nice little rage game. The rotation of the cube made everything infinitely more difficult and random feeling, and the game would be much easier if the rotation of the block was frozen. The bounce mechanic was difficult to get a feel for but was fun once I understood it more. Also, look into coyote time. Nice concept!
Oh yeah, I definitely should have implemented coyote time, completely slipped my mind, woops
Nice work. I like the destruction part, nice touch.
It felt a bit too random sometimes when you were slightly on an angle and trying to boost/jump.
I think the game could benefit from changing the pacing a bit, when you die you have to wait a bit and that coul be made a lot faster. Just BAM, BOOM -> Ready to go again!
Thanks for the feedback! I really like destruction physics in games. It was a bit difficult to implement a proper movement system with a character that is constantly tumbling or rotating in every direction so its definitely a bit clunky.
There were some really cool layers of juice added. I really like how the flag will fragment into pieces. Really cool use of physics.
Thanks, I really like experimenting with physics so I wanted the game to involve it quite a bit.
Dude, level 10 is literally impossible! Because of the main game mechanic, the platforming is super unintuitive, because you get faster as you move, you never end up where you expect to end up.
Also, a couple of levels were completely clearable by only pressing left
Yeah, the movement is difficult to get proper control of tbh and I made most of the levels on the day before the time limit so they are a bit rushed and the difficulty is a bit wonky.
