A meditative game or rather an astronomy teaching project in a playful way!
Got an error on my first try (v1.0.2):
Good luck in development =)
Edit: Sorry, the build was faulty and I didn't test it before uploading :'( I redid the build and now works as intended. Thanks again for playing!
I love astronomy, and I love to be relaxed, would relax again :)
v1.0.2 addresses all the bugs that made it impossible to actually play through and finish the game. There is nothing new added except a very simple right-click to zoom in/out functionality to make it easier to see the stars.
Edit: Build re-uploaded as the previous one was faulty.
After reviewing so many games it's nice to sit back and do some stargazing. Thank you for the chill vibes <3
Thank you for playing! I'm busy bug fixing and improving things, will be releasing a new version soon :3
Sometimes when doing cool mouse-controlled menus and buttons in Game Maker make it calculate the position of the mouse incorrectly in relation to the actual button and art elements. Different resolutions can do this, especially GUI resolutions, and 2.5 + 3D stuff. Oh and need to triple check your collision boxes. Mouse things need some extra tinkering to get it right. Interesting concept though!
Thanks for the info! I'm going to redo the buttons to be sprites rather than an invisible clickable box on top of text.
The idea is interesting, congratulations!
Maybe it will improve with some adjustments in the click area and in the interface.
I think the concept of drawing constellations is pretty cool, but unfortunately I couldn't quite figure out exactly what was expected of the player in this game - the drawing felt kind of arbitrary, and I couldn't actually click the "how to play" in the menu - it just took me to the credits. The mouse clicks also didn't feel like they registered a lot of the time, and the game crashed once when I was trying to draw a constellation. I liked the background music and I think the concept is a cool one worth exploring, but I just couldn't get into it as it is right now. Hope you keep up with it though, I'd be interested in a more developed version!
Hey, thanks for checking out my game! You're right yeah, unfortunately, I only had a couple of days to work on it, as I was doing the Little Town tutorial series before it and didn't want to start until I finished that. It's definitely lacking in polish and I'll be updating it to match my "final vision" within this week or next if it takes longer than expected. I'll let you know when I release v2 :3 thank you!
