Sometimes when doing cool mouse-controlled menus and buttons in Game Maker make it calculate the position of the mouse incorrectly  in relation to the actual button and art elements. Different resolutions can do this, especially GUI resolutions, and 2.5 + 3D stuff. Oh and need to triple check your collision boxes. Mouse things need some extra tinkering to get it right. Interesting concept though!

Thanks for the info! I'm going to redo the buttons to be sprites rather than an invisible clickable box on top of text.
