Track description | Creative process
I was actually excited to get a rhythm game for the jam since that gave me a base to work with in terms of a BPM for the boss fight :) other than that I tried my best to match the instruments to the boss's design, with a couple extra things for aquatic vibes + making the melody hearable because it turns out bass guitars do NOT stand out melodically (on beepbox at least) when the other options are synth, horns, strings and drums 😂 my musically skilled partner also helped me a little bit with identifying/suggesting chords for me and being a great beta listener!

You created a nice mood, maybe it lacks some energy to be a boss track, and some elements of the original ost, but it is a good track. It gives me some Sea of stars vibes, good sound choice.

Wow I like all the colors of this track! It was so glad to listen it!

That bubble-like sounding instrument is really interesting! I agree with the other comment about how this sounds really playful, it was fun to listen to!

Sounds kinda spooky and the beepbox instruments give it more of a retro SNES feel which is cool! I like the choice of lead a lot.

Feels like this could go in game like Banjo-Kazooie with how quirky and playful it feels😄.

I haven't used beepbox but i have heard from other people its pretty limited in the sound sculpting side so cant say much in the way of mixing tips here.

Really dig the feel and everything. Good job on this!

Very fun take, its sound really quirk, follows a good rythmic pattern. You did a good job with the bass to make it stand out even if you feel limited by your DAW.
