Track description | Creative process
This track is my submission to the Alternative Soundtrack - music jam #3 found on itch.io. I was inspired to take a different approach to Mario's classic underground theme, and put a realistic twist on it. I wanted to capture what it would really be like fighting for your life in the dark underground landscape, with monsters chasing after you, dirt crumbling all around and pitch black encircling you as the oxygen wanes. The cover art was illustrated by my brother, Isaac Estudillo (thanks so much)!

Great SFX. The breathing is very scary! I like how you introduce the choir chords. Cool!

Whoa! Ok...Hello Reimaginaton!! Right from the start, I was sucked into the warp pipes, with the clostrophobic darkness grasping my breath. I could still see the surroundings of the original, but the difference was how this piece made me feel! I was there...in the game! This artist totally nailed it with creativity and many "levels" of sounds and melodies! We all know the OG version with the classic 8bit melody. But, the challenge was to REIMAGINE the soundtrack for the Super Bros, which she definitely did! I hope she does more!!
Super scary :O Maybe a bit too much for a Mario Game, but the "underground" theme is there, and very interesting sound design, good job !
On mobile your soundcloud link require to download the app. Honestly I dont see this at all for a mario platformer, still the music have a good depth and the sound design is nice. When it come to composition it lacks development its too monolithic.

I grew up on minecraft so the natural sounds reminded me of 11 hahaha nice one, really stands out!
Whoa, that was dark and certainly unexpected! Maybe the choir is a little too epic, but I see how it would work in a realistic re-imagination of the game - great job!
