This game is pretty cool, I rated.
Hey!
So first off, the art style is very pretty. It really gives off a very old school vibe, which I really like.
I think your game would benefit from two things:
1) I don't know if this is an issue on my end, but it seems like you made the viewport way too small in the WebGL version, to the point where text is cut off and I can't read instructions or find buttons. You can fix this by reviewing your viewport size, but also by setting your canvas in Unity to scale with the screen's height and width instead of using constant pixel size.
2) Some more player onboarding. Since I couldn't read the instructions, and most of the text was cut off for me, there's a lot of the game I feel I couldn't access. I think I killed a deer and talked to a farmer, but other than that I think I couldn't do much.
Very cool idea! Would love to see this expanded on and revisit it sometime.
Thank you for your feedback. I’ve been trying out new ways to do the canvas and this game is setting it to the screen hight and width although i’ve had a problem where it works perfectly in the editor but when i build it the canvas expands if you know how to fix this or have a link to someone who does if love to know
I am at a bit of a loss here. I can't buy anything in the city, probably need gold for that. It's not easy to find my way around on the map because it's zoomed in so much. I have found an NPC, but not his plants. Or didn't press the right button to deliver them. I'm most likely just a dummy again. ^^
I like the oldschool SNES graphics. I felt at home right away. And the idea of basing the game on Nordic fairy tales is endearing. I might give this another try sometime. :)
Thanks for your feedback i will try to add more instructions and help at the start of the game eg an arrow to the plants and once you’ve got gold there’s a minimap available in the cities which hopefully makes it easier to move around the map.
Liked the graphics. And I'm from Finland, so this game made me feel like I was home :D
Kiitos, my finnish friends suggested that i meake a game based on some nordic fairy tail. Had a load of fun making it and love your country
