At first , it really appeared too hard to me and i couldn't reach farther than the 2nd type of pirate. Music is good and it is really nice for entertainment. GOOD LUCK!

Thanks for the feedback!

I internationally made it a little difficult so a person would have to persistently train their game sense and develop a muscle memory as to what keys serve what purpose; although, this being a small game, I doubt anyone would go so far as to practise it.

I'm glad you liked the music and stuff. I tried my best to bring a feeling to the game which is authentic to the golden age of piracy and its great to see that worked.

Cheers!

Nice! First I thought it's too hard for me, but then I started getting used to it. And then the skeleton fleet found me...

Very nice Irish music!

Totally agree on the music, its an amazing non-copyright track I found online. Its my dream to make a game like Dead Cells by Motion Twin, so by intent I make my games a little too hard. And because I, myself, being the developer-having played it for numerous hours, start finding it easy, I tend to go a little overboard with the difficulty for a game not many people would replay.

Thanks a ton for trying it out though!

Heavy visuals, crazy, cool. Like it, but if playing longer it is too much for me. Money equals life is very capitalistic :-) Solid room generation.

Controls were difficult for me, but I am generally playing with controller, seldomly keyboard, so maybe just me.

Developer

I see. If it were not made in haste, I would've tried to add a practice mode for testing out the controls (with infinite lives or something), but since we had limited time, I guess we all had to work-around plenty of stuff.

Thanks so much for trying it out and leaving a review!

Great idea allowing the player to attack only in one direction. Fitting music and it felt and sounded very satisfying to shoot. The post processing was a bit much for my taste, but that's highly subjective. Cool entry to the jam!

Developer

thanks for the review! Actually, I forgot to add a little instruction for the controls that is you can rotate around using the Left and Right Arrow keys (its only mentioned in the description) so you don't necessarily have to shoot in one direction. But if it is as intersting as you say, maybe it can be made into a game mechanic😉
