I made it out in 31 steps.

Out of interest, what's the logic behind the dimension shifting only being active at certain points? I assume it's so the player doesn't end up inside a wall or something. Are there just two dimensions that you're shifting between? I could definitely see a larger game here where there were multiple dimensions you had to shift in between to deal with puzzles/enemies/maze-like levels. :)

Well done!

Thanks for asking about the game logic. The reason why you can only shift dimension at some locations is that it makes sure that you don't shift dimension and end up inside a wall. This is achieved by assigning random numbers (1,2, or 3) to each of the grid cells in the labyrinth matrix, where 1) is the white dimension, 2) is the black dimension, and 3) is a dimension shift location.  Essentially dimension shifting is just like a taking a stair to another floor :)

Good job! We all need to find out, eventually.

I like the compass idea too, otherwise this was really cool to play. The dimension shifting was a nice touch, and gave me horror-survival vibes.

Thanks! Must be the most low budget horror survival game ever :)

Haha well it just goes to show how far the right atmosphere can go ;)

Cool game! I like the dimension switching mechanic, good use of theme. I made it out in 98 steps! Though I tried mostly to just go in 1 direction, it would been helpful to have some kind of compass.

Great idea with a compass! I will see what I can do.
