Great job! I loved the art and the sound design was funny. My one problem with the game was how the mouse pointer has a crossheir but the gun didn't point at it. I usually use the mouse to shoot if the gun points to the mouse and a button to shoot if it doesn't. Not a big deal, just though I would tell you. Anyways, really enjoyed. :D

True point, realized it very late, thanks, my main problem is that i dont play games, so i dont know a lot about them, thanks for the "critique". it was appreciated, im gonna turn the game into a top-down shooter, so i will make guns and make them point to the mouse

Well done! Nice controls, decent art, even got some music going. For a single dev on a 3 day jam, this is a good game.

Developer

thanks, i wanted to put more but time. i had a bit of bugs i couldn't fix. But jam games! Thanks for the feedback, well in your opinion what could be improved. As i will improve on it a bit, what could be improved, considering and not xonsidering its a jam game, thanks!

You submitted just in time! If you had managed to add dragons, you could have called it RadioReflectDrag :D

lol, i had the idea for the dragons but time is a bummer, i'll add on the game with adding dragons, ill keep the main mechanics but add 2 extra colors. So it wont be 1-bit but still. Thanks for the comment tho!

I really liked the art! The bullet bounce felt awesome!  I loved the intuitiveness of your game. The player movement and animations did not look or feel great.  The audio got a bit annoying.  I began and spammed the fire button only to realize I killed my self. My bullets went off screen and then came back on screen; I thought it was enemies shooting me. My biggest enemy was myself/my own gun.  Overall good job, and keep it up!

EDIT: I do not think your game was one-bit. If you used dithering please tell me so I can change my bitness rating category.

Developer

The game was 1-bit, there was some dithering used, the only thing thats not 1-bit is the transitions, messed up there a bit, the bullet thing is part of the theme, i couldn't do anything about it

Okay. know.

Physics are wonky and the blurry assets (transition screens, walls and floors) make it not truly 1-bit, but it's excellent otherwise!

During the tutorial, pretty much right out the gate I shot a wall and got killed by my own bullets, which gave me a laugh. Then I restarted it, shot the zombie and watched him go flying and laughed harder; legit tears in my eyes.

The music and sounds are unsettling in combination, and the art and enemy variety really bring it all home...but every time I shoot something and it just nyooms offscreen with that miserable creepy little "wreeehhh" I start laughing hysterically. This might be one of my favorite submissions for sheer entertainment value alone.

You did superbly on this and should absolutely 100% be proud of yourself; it's a very solid survival mode kind of game. 10/10 will be sending to all my friends.

it was my first time in 2d, and first time doing transitions. So it was expected, i had colr grading on some canvases but forgot to add them on the rest. As you might have noticed some menus dont work. Im not very happy with it. But it does bring a laugh sometimes. all assets and animations were made by me. it was also a pixel art madness as it was my first time. I wanted to add more stuff but i was really late. on the final day, i stayed awake till 10:00 am without sleeping. As a kid, i get distracted a lot. So i wasted a long time. Thats also because it was my first time writing code without tuts so thats what im happy for.

Thank you so much for your feedback it was really needed. If you have a discord please add me. As i prolly would improve on the game and make it top down with more enemies and not one bit. Discord: NilaCkGames#7698

Even pros have to reference tutorials or other assets sometimes; that's a huge accomplishment!

I definitely get the distraction thing, even as an adult; ADHD is wild, and I have a 4yo kid who demands a lot of attention. Don't be hard on yourself for circumstances, kid, you did great and I do genuinely love this game.

thanks to u, mate. I did reference tuts i just wrote some code without them. Which was the first time. Thanks!

Developer(+1)

also, the bullet thing is part of the theme. Had no time to say that in the tut as i did it in 15 mins but its mentioned in the description

This game is great! I love the sound effects. Did you record them yourself? And the animations, a true masterpiece.

Developer

yep. I made them in fact all assets were made by me. As i said in my comment above. Its not the best jam game but im still proud of it.

Can u please add me on discord. My name is above . Thanks
