Wow! the art is incredible. Clearly you know what you're doing when it comes to pushing pixels. Would love to see this idea expanded on.
I got to the end but didn't really come across anything that felt like the theme of "transformation" personally. Did I miss something?
The transformation aspect didnt get fully realized, but theres an alternate ending if you spare the scientists and interact with your designated target in eden. Thanks for playing, I appreciate it a lot!

A sweet short game that resembles the likes of our beloved metroidvania. The controls are great and the art is well thought out. Looking forward for the next phase of this game.
It seems a game taken from gameboy in the 80s! Not really compliant with the "transformation" theme but I really enjoyed it!
It has to do with the ending you get by not being evil. it says so in the description. the original story was more focused on the transformation part but I made it in 5 days and had to cut it. I appreciate you playing it though!

Yeah no worries, originally the game was going to be like "Don't kill defenseless people caught in the cross fire of your mission" but it sort of got overscoped a bit by the end haha.
This was a fun run through! The gameplay and level design felt clean and engaging. Not sure if you made the art/music yourself or if it was free assets, but the vibe and design was great. Could easily see this expanding with power-ups and boss battles. Great work in 5 days!
Also adding I got both endings. The "good" ending was really amusing.
