Love the direction! I got through the entire tower but there seemed to be no ending, but I understand the time constraint.

I completely understand the motivation thing. I have a folder on my desktop of games I lost motivation on.

Thanks for playing! After this jam I totally just ignored all things game dev lol I was so burnt out but the motivation is returning.

Yeah the end is empty sadly lol but I was hoping for it to be a battle tower against trainers.

Nice idea!
Graphics and music is very cool and fitting the world. One improvement I would suggest would be to on swiching direction character instantly move in that direction. Currently is one button press rotates character second button press moves character in that direction.

Overall very pleasant and cute game :)

this is intended because this is how the older pokemon games function.

I'm glad you liked it!

Nice pokemon style project.

I only managed to find Pengos throughout my run. But that's ok, because there was no penalty for running away haha.

One little thing: I would scrap the final not-labyrinth corridor inside the tower since (I think) the game finishes in that dead-end and it serves no purpose other than wasting the player's time. Correct me if I'm wrong please!

Cheers!

yeah lowkey there's only Pengo's ran out of time to add more. also the Tower was SUPPOSED to be a battle tower with a story but i had no time.

This is basically a prototype for a future project just to see how a mon game works etc

Oh sure. The progress you made looks promising. And as you put it, motivation sometimes can be one's worst enemy on these for-fun projects haha.

Good luck and keep it up

yeah in the end my motivation hit rock bottom worse than usual at the end of the jam.

Thanks for playing!
