Chased by an implacable horror, Travis and Jacob run for their lives. On to an old wooden pier, the two jumped onto an empty boat. Jacob was lucky enough to fire up the boat's engine, but as they tried to pull away they noticed, to their horror, they forgot to untie the boat from the pier. Travis jumped out to untie the rope, but before he could, the wet hands of the horror grabbed him, shoving his head under the water, until he stopped moving. The horror then proceeded to attack Jacob. 

Quietus is a fast-paced, intense horror movie of a TTRPG. The system is simple and quick, and its perfectly balanced to produce the classic anxiety and dread of a horror more. 

Where many games purport to be well balanced, Quietus really does come down to the last roll, where players can escape, or their luck ends.

Highly recommended for a one-shot. It's easy to learn and explain. Players are quick to jump into it and it promises to be a memorable session.
