Great little journal type game with an dynamic opportunities to change the game's world and an excellent way to end the game (or travel with the character somewhere else. I'm not a huge fan of using playing cards, but the world changes are directly tied to which card you draw out of the deck, so it is actually essential for game play.
What is missing then? There are no mechanics that change who or what your character is, besides some suggestions. It would be interesting to see how that might be left to chance without it feeling like imposing something on the player. But that is not the purview of this game, it does what it was designed for perfectly.
