So starting from the top...This chapter isn't bad. It does establish the world to an extent, and it introduces the characters in a...decent way. Though as of writing this Review there are alot of gameplay bugs and things with the core balance in general that could use some adjustments or fixes...Check out my comment on the main page for that.

But talking about the story really quick...It's a serviceable..Prologue to the whole thing. And in all honesty...I don't think I can say anything more than that considering this is still only Chapter 1. Though admittedly if I were to nitpick the story here...it feels very..been there done that, in fact it feels kiind of similar in some ways to Legend of Spyro a New Beginnings intro sequence except the main friend of the main character...Is a hotblooded mess who blames her misfortune on her after the main character makes some valid points about something much bigger going on. Again It's serviceable as a means to start it..but I feel like I'd need to see how the rest of the story plays out in order to actually judge it.

Though there are also  a couple more things I wish to bring up that I feel like could make this game WAY better in terms of Polish.

First of all, Voice acting. There were some moments in the story that I honestly feel like hearing a voice could've really helped sell the situation that's going on. Even if it's Animal Crossing bit voices with some minor Pitch adjustments depending on the emotion the character is feeling, that could go a long way in making it feel really good.

Second of all, though is more minor...I feel like the characters could've exerted a bit more personality outside of the cutscenes. Particularly Eira, who I feel like could've used some extra little animations here and there, some suggestions I have are some Idling animations if you stand still for long enough, and also perhaps an extra "Falling" animation if you're  in the air and you're falling for a good while.

So...yeah...I do feel it's worth buying this and supporting slunberparty so they can fully realize the potential that this game has. And I liked playing this enough to give it 4 star rating..though again I'd advise waiting until fixes come out for some of the issues. OH! Also one more suggestion to you guys making this. Find a way to keep the mouse locked to the window please?  It would honestly benefit the game alot.
