"Six Cats Under" seems like an adorable cat game, and it is, but it immediately strikes you with death. The objective of this point-and-click side-scrolling puzzle game is to help your cats escape from the apartment, for the owner collapsed and died under a bookcase. The puzzles themselves are a little challenging, but manageable. Some parts I got stuck on, but after fiddling around a bit, I got the hang of it. It's also useful to pay attention to the dialogue, which can give some helpful hints (i.e. this cat likes food, and that cat likes TV) to help you progress.
Personally, I'm not a huge fan of pixel graphic games, but this one is definitely an exception. It's stylized with a soft pastel color palette that really makes you feel like you're in an old woman's cat obsessed home. There are a surprising amount of details, I found myself constantly discovering new objects and little things in the background.
This game is short yet sweet, and I highly recommend it for those who like point-and-click puzzles, pixel graphics, or if you just love cats!
