putinpunhere rated Imperial Grace

A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux.

I know that for many aspects of the game I am probably far from target audience; however, as a fan of history (medieval period included) and this game's claims to realism sparked my curiosity and I decided to try out the demo to see what it's like... after a couple of days.

Pros:

-Music and visuals in general presentation are very good, arguably giving the best the run for their money.

-Existence of two language localizations proves that additional  localizations wouldn't take much additional work (mais mon français n'est pas très bien)

-There are characters that I at very least want to see more of, if not like outright. (the chancellor and spymaster, as I'd like to call them, come to mind)

Cons:

-2/3 love interests need serious character development. While  romance is far from my forte, I do find Alexander to be kinda boring; (but at least trustworthy) while Asha is just plain (and smartass) trash.

-A petty pair of complaints, but sometimes calling the MC Queen while at other times referring to her as Empress throws me out of the loop as to what her titles are supposed to be. Also portions of the story that emphasize the word "gender" rather than "woman" makes me wary of a "surprise" that [probably] would never come. (but I can't deny that it would be an absolutely hilarious joke ending *wink*)

-Quite a lot of lore goes poorly unexplained, if at all. Which brings me to my next segment...

Things (but mostly lore) I hope to see:

-A map, with as many major details such as major waterways (rivers, lakes, seas, et cetera), nations/realms, big cities and major ports, terrain and such as possible. Would be great for immersion.

-History as to why the situation of the world is as now. What parallels and differences does it have with our world? Did it have its own Great Migration of Nations? How many parallels does Calidya have with Byzantium and how did it get it's name? How many different cultures does this realm have and how they came to be? (medieval history had lots of different nations to compare with)

-MC's extended family/dynasty, as she likely to have one on at least one of her parent's sides. Because if she dies childless...

-What other faiths and philosophies exist in this world and what do they believe in? Or what exactly does the faith in the Four refer to in the first place? (compare with real life faiths like Buddhism, Catholicism, or Shinto)

-A functional diplomacy (which I know is in development, but I have to write that down)

-Character development, especially for Alexander (so he could be more interesting, maybe having him shine in a pretender uprising?) and Asha (so she wouldn't be Nubia's trashiest waifu)

I hope my feedback is helpful and helps you make a better world, story, and game. :P
