PublicLewdness rated 30 Second Story

PublicLewdness rated a experience 4 years ago
A browser experience made in HTML5.

The developer stated that the goal behind 30 Second Story was to gain experience and skill in certain aspects of game development and that they had mainly been met. This may be true but the storytelling was a bit off kilter. The game itself was solid enough and had an interesting concept but let’s just say that the story didn’t always make a lot of sense given the options provided. The art was simple but had a certain nostalgic charm to it.

I played 30 Second Story on Linux. It didn’t crash on me and I didn’t notice any bugs. There is no save feature but with the game length that isn’t an issue. The game has no option to go full screen.

Game Engine: Unity
Graphics API: OpenGL
Disk Space Used: 187 MB

GPU Usage: 0-6 %
VRAM Usage: 396-397 MB
CPU Usage: 1-2 %
RAM Usage: 1.5 GB

It’s tough to get invested in such a short game. You can’t pack much detail in such a short time. The game is free sure but there are lot of free games out there which are better.

My Score: 5/10
