My experience with T-DEF was very fun like most Dark Fort hacks I've played before. I've played it solo with a 3-person crew and we died in the first mission. It was pretty much what I was expecting and I couldn't help but to imagine it as an X-Files spin-off episode while I was playing it.
What did I missed?
Well, I won't lie it was kinda difficult to force myself to imagining a narrative flowing through the different sites I visited. Most times it felt like a disposable luxury and I just went to the dice battles. One way to solve that could be adding some mechanical implications to the narrative. Like a random table that defines terrain and weather with results that could change the way dice work or give you som advantage a number of times.
