This is the best sprite stack rendering system available for GMS2 at the moment. If you are in-housing solutions, stop. Just use this. Though it may not be as light-weight as simple drawing sprites to the screen or totally shader-based solutions, fauxton3D is extremely performant. At the same time, Gizmo's system only consists of essentially 3 nodes (camera, lighting system and rendering pipeline) all of which are exposed to you for rewriting functions or operations. There may be some issues with scaling, but these are expected to be fixed with the source being freely available on github as well to track issues.
