Horrorshow really flexes her creative muscles in this batch; Ghost Lake and Seven Days are like no other horror games I've played, the latter particularly having a really interesting gimmick and a painfully relatable trans-oriented story. Castle Wormclot was a great breather, serving up more of Horrorshow's excellent comedy after Vol. 2's Gloompuke. The only part that didn't quite work for me was Basements; while it was intense and the writing was as splendidly grim as ever, the disorienting visuals were too over-the-top to complement the writing and as such, the experience never fully gelled.
