Loren Nibbe rated Warplanes: WW1 Fighters

A downloadable game for Android.

My favorite game. Many levels of difficulty and scenes keep it interesting.  As do many little nuances.  I love to just fly along looking at the town and the scenery.  More towns and aerial battlefield scenes  would be nice.

My main complaint is that the "wing man" gets damaged and returns to base almost immediately in many combats - leaving me to fight a dozen or more enemy planes single handedly.  He also bounces around the sky. When I go to give support in answer to his call for help, he is suddenly far far away.  A second wing man would be nice.

The same thing happens to the bombers on occasion. They move from being near at hand to being a dot on the horizon.

I would remove the comment "I'm bailing out." As I recall that was not a WW I  comment - at least until  very late in the war: stigma, little room for them in the planes, little time once plane was engulfed in flames. Parachutes were primarily used by balloonists.

The changing position of the pilot in relation to the controls is especially  irritating after a pause. You sometimes find yourself out of the plane or having to stand up to fly.  In the middle of combat that is unnerving.

My  bombers never ever showed up in the attacks on the oil refinery.

Still, all in all, this is a great game that I would recommend to everyone.
