Lots of intertwined progression paths with plenty of freedom to pick favorites or to slowly build up everyone. Great scenes, albeit with fixed camera angles, but a huge variety of them including optional paths and progressions and side characters, but there is barely branching to the point where you miss out on content by choosing a certain path. Not always clear what is needed to progress, so you may need a walkthrough to max everyone out, but its a journey. Also a book's worth of text.
