Even the Ocean is the most soul-wrenching title I have played since stepping out of my video game dark ages shortly after the paradigm shift that is the pandemic began.

Integrating Super Nintendo era platforming and adventure game mechanics with a very welcome non-combat approach, Melos and Marina at Analgesic Productions have crafted a nuanced ecological science fiction narrative that unfolds with the bittersweet grace of an Ursula K. Le Guin or Octavia E. Butler novel.  

Saying much more would spoil the experience. Rest assured, Even the Ocean should be considered an independent classic and a true work of art.
