Excellent analysis of how Marvel's sales are plummeting, with multiple potential causes: endless focus on quick-sales gimmicks that actively discourage long-term subscriptions, marketing decisions ranging from baffling to horrible, and a hostile approach to feedback from their fans.

Also, mention of Homestuck as a comic that does things right (at least as far as "giving fans enough of what they want so they keep coming back;" not going into moral judgments here); yay.

Very incisive commentary that completely bypasses any discussion of Marvel's content and focuses on their business decisions, and the obvious flaws therein.
