You did not playtest your game thoroughly; one day revealed glaring story holes and skips that absolutely should not be present.
You can just not do the February fight despite that being a critical story beat, and the cutscenes don't check for it.
Game also crashes at the end once, but that's not too egregious
The overabundance of heal items (heal wrench; four heal crystals near Molgephecus) makes challenge nonexistent.
And that's just the GAMEPLAY. The character writing is bland except for a few instances. Caroline receives no development and is "Fridged" for the duration of the game; and the strongest writing (the journal) is hidden behind an easter egg and absent from the main plot. Molgephecus' dialogue is extremely inconsistent between the journal and the bossfight; he doesent say anything about his quest to "save" (?) Ahokau.
It leads to an inconsistent character where on one hand we have a tragic character forced to turn against his inspiration for what he believes is the greater good, and on the other a half-baked villain who purges souls for the lulz.
Speaking of Ahokau, Emily behaves inconsistently once the Roseblight clown car shows up. It sacrifices characterization to shove "hey look at the Chapter 2 foreshadowing" and doesen't account for the fact that Emily is very brash and demands explanations from even friendly people like Livin; she'd definitely interrupt them once York starts talking about the Gray Planet she's never heard of; but instead she lets them finish.
Assuming that the player knows Roseblight is one thing; making the character act like she does as well is completely immersion breaking; and feels quite pandering honestly.
I expected better from you, Loverde.
